Questions

What is ACRIS?
ACRIS is New York City's register of recorded property documents in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens: deeds, mortgages and the papers that change or end them. Staten Island records are kept by the county clerk.
How do I search ACRIS by address?
Search the address on Hercules to open the property. The full report lists its recorded deeds and mortgages in order, with dates, amounts and parties, so you do not have to search the city's site by borough, block and lot.
Why does a deed show no price?
Transfers between related parties, into trusts or between a person and their own company often record no price or a nominal one. They are real ownership changes, not market sales.
